10 Credit Cards for Those With Bad Credit
7. First Premier Bank Classic Credit Card
This card has a rather high interest rate at 36% APR. This is not my first option if I am looking to rebuild credit. There is a $95 one-time processing fee, then there is a $75 annual fee. And if you are around past that first year, you will have to pay a monthly servicing fee of $75 per year. Again, that is after your first year. This is your run-of-the-mill credit card for those looking to rebuild.
Fees and Rates:
- 36% APR on purchases
- $6 or 5% on cash advances, whichever is greater
- Late payment fee of $35 and $38 fee for returned payment/charge
Bottom line: Try to avoid this card if you can. However, if you are unable to get some of the better cards, get this card and pay your balance off in full for 9-11 months until your score gets up to above a 600. After that, you can look for other options.
