If you have a credit score between 590-620, this is a good option for you.  It is a card that offers 1.5% cash back on all purchases, which is a great offer in this tier.  Also, it has an introductory 0% APR on purchases and balance transfer until May 2016.  You can get a higher credit limit once you have made 5 monthly payments on time.  Like all other Capital One cards, there is a credit score tracker that you can use to track your credit score.

Fees and Rates: 

  • $39 annual fee
  • 0% introductory APR until May 2016 on purchases and balance transfers.  22.9% APR after that.
  • $35 late payment fee
  • $10 or 3% fee for cash advances

 

Bottom line: This is probably one of the best cards in the the tier.  If are applying for credit cards to rebuild your credit, start with this one.
